DESCRIPTION:The English Literary Association (ELA)\, Department of English at Mar Thoma College\, Tiruvalla\, is observing World Environment Day with a meaningful series of events to promote climate awareness and ecological responsibility. Guided by the central theme\, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future\,” the association will commence the programs with an inaugural event on June 5\, 2026\, featuring a session\, titled “Preserving the Present\,” by Ms. Shanthi Krishna\, a Research Scholar from the Department of Botany. This session will commence at 12:50pm in the English Portico. \n\n\n\nThe association is also organizing a one-day trip\, “Monsoon Trails: Into the Emerald Embrace of Gavi Ecotourism” \, offering participants an opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity and scenic beauty of Gavi. The observance will also conclude with a special movie screening accompanied by an interactive discussion.
