SUMMARY:District Level Science Day Celebrations
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with the Kerala State Council for Science\, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) and Department of Science and Technology\, Govt. of India\, the National Science Day celebration is being organized on February 18 at Mar Thoma College\, Tiruvalla under the leadership of the Department of Botany. \nWith the financial assistance of KSCSTE\, Mar Thoma College\, Tiruvalla is the only college in Pathanamthitta district that has been selected to organize Science Day Celebrations at the school level. A drawing competition will be held for upper primary students and a science kit making competition for high school students. The winners will get the opportunity to participate in state level competitions organized by KSCSTE The Science Day celebration will be inaugurated and the keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Achutshankar S. Nair\, former Head of the Department of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics\, Kerala University and President\, Sasthravedi. There will also be a speech by Ajay Gopinath\, founder of ‘Grow Greens’ and microgreens expert. \n  \nStudents will have the opportunity to visit the Miyawaki-style ‘Vidyavanam’ at Mar Thoma College on this day.

DESCRIPTION:Mar Thoma College\, Tiruvalla\, is organizing the Mar Thoma Multidisciplinary Expo – INFINITY on February 28\, 2025\, in celebration of National Science Day. Hosted by the Science Forum\, this exhibition aims to promote scientific awareness and innovation through a wide range of exhibits and interactive sessions. \nThe event will showcase special exhibits from prestigious institutions such as ISRO\, Rubber Board\, Central University Kasaragod\, Believers Church Medical College\, Kerala Council for Historical Research\, Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad\, Fire & Safety Department (Govt. of Kerala)\, State Bank of India\, and Homegrown Biotech. \nVisitors can explore cutting-edge fields like Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security\, along with other attractions including a Book Fest featuring major publishers\, a Miyawaki Forest\, Stellarium\, a Zoological Museum\, a Herbarium\, and a Food Fest.
