DESCRIPTION:The Department of Mathematics is hosting an Intercollegiate Quiz Competition\, “Battle of Brains”\, on December 5 at 10:00 AM in the Auditorium. Cash prizes will be distributed to the winners. \n\n\n\nGENERAL INSTRUCTIONS \n\n\n\n\nAll participants must report by 9:30 AM.\n\n\n\nEach team must consist of two students. A college may send multiple teams.\n\n\n\nRegistration fee: ₹100/- per team\, which shall be paid at the time of reporting at the venue.\n\n\n\nParticipants must be undergraduate or postgraduate students from any educational institution.\n\n\n\nParticipants should produce an authentication letter from the Principal/HOD or a valid college ID card.\n\n\n\nThe Quiz Master’s decision will be final.

DESCRIPTION:The Academic Cell of Mar Thoma College\, Tiruvalla is organising an invited talk titled “The Science of AI\, and a Walkthrough of Recent Tools for Learning and Research” on 16 December 2025 at 2.00 pm in the Seminar Hall. The programme aims to enhance students’ understanding of the fundamental concepts of Artificial Intelligence and to familiarise them with contemporary AI-based tools that support academic learning and research activities. \n\n\n\nThe session will be led by Dr. Ebie Mavelil Sam\, who completed his PhD in Physics from the Max Planck Institute\, Germany. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Plumfin\, an aquatech startup that he co-founded.Through this interactive talk\, participants will gain valuable insights into emerging AI technologies\, innovative learning tools\, and their applications in research\, fostering critical thinking and technological awareness among students.
