28th Annual Lecture
Dear sir/madam/students,
The Postgraduate and Research Department of Economics, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla has reached yet another milestone in its journey. The Annual Lecture, the prestigious academic event of the Department is in its 28th year. The Department has been conducting this event continuously since 1998, when the Department got recognized as a Research Centre of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
The previous lectures were delivered by eminent scholars in Economics both from within India and abroad.
The 28th Annual Lecture will be delivered by Dr Ashok Thomas, Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Topic for the lecture is Harnessing New Technologies for Creative Disruption in the context of AI and its applications in economic growth, labour market and financial markets.
The lecture will be held at 10.00 am on Wednesday, 12th March 2025 at College Seminar Hall.
Dr. Icy K John, Former Principal, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla will be the moderator.
