The admission process for undergraduate programs at Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, is designed to be seamless, efficient, and student-friendly. Below is a formalized guide outlining the steps for prospective students seeking admission,
Initial Guidance at the Help Desk
Upon arrival, students are welcomed at the Help Desk, located in front of the College Auditorium. Trained staff provide initial guidance and direct students to the next step of the admission process.
Preliminary Data Entry at the Computer Centre
Students proceed to the College Computer Centre, where they complete the preliminary admission-related data entry. This step ensures that all necessary information is accurately recorded in the college’s system.
Credential Verification at Respective Departments
After data entry, students visit their chosen academic department. The Admission In-Charge, guided by the MG UGP Prospectus 2026, verifies the student’s credentials, including index marks and other eligibility criteria. Students submit the Green Admission Form along with the required affidavit/undertaking. The Admission In-Charge reviews the undertaking, ensures it is duly signed, and completes the Yellow Admit Card with their initials.
Approval by the Head of Department (HoD)
The HoD, or an officer designated by the HoD, reviews the Yellow Admit Card, adds their initials, and directs the student to meet the Principal for final approval.
Principal’s Approval
The Principal reviews the Yellow Admit Card, provides their initials as a mark of approval, and instructs the student to proceed to the fee payment counters.
Fee Payment
Students first visit Counter Number Two to pay the mandatory University fee. Subsequently, they proceed to other designated counters to settle additional fees, completing the financial formalities of the admission process.
Post-Admission Engagement
To foster communication and community, HoDs may create a WhatsApp group for newly admitted students, enabling seamless interaction and updates. Additionally, the Senior Faculty Advisor (SFA) is available to guide students on the nuances of the MG UGP, ensuring clarity on academic and administrative requirements.
