The College Union was instituted by the Management as early as 1952, long before it became a regular feature and a statutory body in the other Colleges in the state. The Union was founded with the view to promote democratic spirit, the leadership skills, and to sharpen the artistic and intellectual attributes of the students.

The College Union is an elected body of the students functioning with a Chairman and guided by a Staff Advisor appointed by the College Council. The annual Arts Festival and the Kerala Day Celebration besides the various cultural programmes are events about which the Union can be proud of. The Union also arranges Annual Cultural Competitions within the College and make the necessary selections of participants and teams to represent the College in the various competitions at the Inter-Collegiate, University and State levels. The editing and publishing of the College Magazine, which is clear manifestation of the creative genius of the student community is yet another activity of the College Union.
