Seventh Prof. Chellamma Mathew Memorial Lecture

The Department of Physics cordially invites you to the Seventh Prof. Chellamma Mathew Memorial Lecture, held in honour of the life and legacy of Prof. Chellamma Mathew – an inspiring teacher, principled academic, and advocate of women’s empowerment. This year’s memorial lecture will be delivered by Dr. Suraj Soman, Principal Scientist, CSIR-NIIST, on “Energy from the Lampshade: Light That Works Overtime,” highlighting cutting-edge advances in indoor light-harvesting technologies on 19th February 2026. The lecture continues the department’s tradition of celebrating scientific excellence while inspiring meaningful dialogue on contemporary challenges in science and sustainability.
