Research Colloquium

The Research & Development (R&D) Cell of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla is organizing a Research Colloquium on November 22, 2025.
The colloquium will feature an expert talk and a Poster Presentation Competition.
The competition is open to all research scholars of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla.
Poster Presentation Competition: Details
Topic: “Challenges in Academic Publishing”
Prizes: Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three posters:
First Prize: Rs. 3,000
Second Prize: Rs. 2,000
Third Prize: Rs. 1,000
Evaluation: Winners will be decided based on a combination of peer and expert evaluation.
Guidelines for Poster Presentation
Size: 90 cm (width) X 120 cm (height).
Font Sizes (Recommended):
Heading: 80 pts
Author/Affiliation: 60 pts
Subtitles: 60 pts
Body Text: 40 pts
Content Organization: The content must be organized as: Introduction, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Printing: The poster must be printed on photo paper, glossy paper, or cloth. Flex printing is strictly not permitted.
Expert Talk Details
The expert talk, a key part of the colloquium, will be delivered by Dr. Jayakrishnan R, Professor and Head, Department of Physics, Kerala University.
Topic of Presentation: “Is Research a Career?”
All research scholars and research guides are cordially requested to attend the program.
