World Space Week is celebrated every year in the first week of October.
The Physics Association, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla celebrate World Space Week by organising technical/ popular talks, presentation competitions, visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram and exciting Night Sky Watch Party aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 13 on Climate Action.
On 8th October, Ms. Elizabeth Thomas, Research Scholar, Department of Physics will deliver a talk on “Sun influencing our daily life” at 11 am in the Seminar Hall, Dr. Alexander Mar Thoma Memorial Golden Jubilee Block.
An intercollegiate presentation competition is arranged at 2 pm. The theme for the competition shall be “Space and Climate Change”.
First Prize: Rs. 2000/-
Second Prize: Rs. 1000/-
Registration Fee : Rs. 100/-
A sky watch party is planned in the evening at 6 pm at the roof top of Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Navathi Block.
