സ്കൂളിലേക്ക് ഒരു ശാസ്ത്രവണ്ടി (A Science Bus to School)

The Department of Chemistry organized an extension and outreach programme titled “സ്കൂളിലേക്ക് ഒരു ശാസ്ത്രവണ്ടി” (A Science Bus to School) on 14 November 2025 at Syrian Jacobite Public School, Thiruvalla. The activity aimed to foster scientific curiosity and promote quality science education among school students, aligning with UN SDG Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

A team of First Year M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry students, under the supervision of department faculty, conducted a series of simple, engaging indoor chemistry demonstrations and interactive learning sessions. These activities were designed to help students understand basic scientific principles through hands-on experiments and demonstrations.

Around 200 students enthusiastically participated in the programme. The sessions encouraged active student involvement, stimulated interest in science, and created an enjoyable learning atmosphere. The outreach initiative also strengthened the partnership between the college and the school.
