The Postgraduate and Research Department of Economics, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla has reached yet another milestone in its journey. The Annual Lecture, the prestigious academic event of the Department is in its 27th year. The Department has been conducting this event continously  since 1998, when the Department got recognized as a Research Centre of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.  The previous lectures were delivered by eminent scholars in Economics both from within India and abroad.

The 27th Annual Lecture was delivered by Dr K J Joseph, Director,  Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation, Thiruvananthapuram. Topic for the lecture was Emerging Fiscal Federal Relations and Kerala’s Fiscal Challenge.

The lecture was held at 10.30 am on Thursday, 7th March 2024 at College Seminar Hall.
