Adhara 2025

The Department of Physics at Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, organized a vibrant and engaging Physics Fest titled “Adhara 2025”. The event was inaugurated by renowned film director Shri M. B. Padmakumar. In his inspiring inaugural address, he emphasized that students should not be influenced by cinema, drugs, or any other distractions, and highlighted the role of teachers and parents as guiding beacons for children.
The inaugural function was presided over by Principal Dr. Mathew Varkey T. K. The event also saw addresses from College Treasurer Mr. Thomas Koshy, Head of the Department Dr. Angel Susan Cherian, Mr. Santhosh Jacob and Mr. Manesh Jacob. Under the leadership of Dr. Angel susan Cherian (HOD) the fest was coordinated by Dr. I. John Berlin and Mr. R. Yadu.
The fest featured an exciting array of events, including an Auto Expo, Quiz Competition, Ideathon, Futuristic Fashion show, Room Escape Challenge, Photography Competition and an E-Football Tournament. These events were meticulously organized and managed by the students of the Physics Department, showcasing their leadership and teamwork.
Participants from various institutions, including SB College, Changanassery, Government College, Kottayam, St. Aloysius College, Edathua, NSS College, Pandalam, and Balikamadom Higher Secondary School, Tiruvalla, enthusiastically took part in various competitions.
The event provided a valuable platform for students to gain hands-on experience in event management, enhance their communication skills, and appreciate artistic expression. This exposure will undoubtedly contribute to their personal growth and career development.
“Adhara 2025” was a resounding success, reflecting the collaborative spirit and dedication of the Physics Department and its students.
