Association Inauguration – Mathematics

Inauguration of Mathematics Association was held on September 5, 2024. The event commenced with a prayer song rendered by Nandana, which set a serene tone for the occasion.

Prof. Retheesh R, Head of the Department of Mathematics, delivered the welcome address, extending a warm welcome to the chief guest, dignitaries, faculty members, and students.

Dr. Roshan Sara Philipose, Association President, addressed the gathering with an insightful presidential address, emphasizing the vision and goals of the association for the academic year.

The Principal, Dr. Mathew Varkey T K, offered his valuable remarks, motivating the students to actively participate in the association’s activities.

The event was further enlivened by a beautiful solo performance by Roshini, captivating the audience.

The association’s activities were formally inaugurated by the esteemed chief guest, Dr. Bindu Krishnan, Senior Statistician, Data & AI, IBM India Software Labs, who also delivered the inaugural address. Dr. Bindu Krishnan shared her expertise through a thought-provoking talk on “Empowering Decisions: The Crucial Role of Mathematics and Statistics in Data-Driven Insights.” Her address highlighted the significant impact of mathematical and statistical tools in today’s data-driven world.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Aaron Abe Varghese, Association Secretary, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and contributors who made the event a grand success.

Around 60 students participated in the event, contributing to its success and vibrant atmosphere.
