Cancer Awareness

The Medical Club of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla organized a Cancer Awareness Class on September 16, 2025, at 2:30 PM in the Seminar Hall. The session was presided over by Dr. Mathew Varkey T. K., Principal, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla.

The meeting began with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address delivered by Dr. Sunitha A. Philip, Convener of the Medical Club. The resource person for the session was Dr. Minu Luckose, Assistant Professor, Department of Clinical Haematology, Believers Church Medical College Hospital, Tiruvalla.

Dr. Minu Luckose conducted an informative session on “Cancer Awareness,” emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balanced diet rich in essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates. She also stressed the significance of regular physical exercise in promoting overall health and reducing cancer risks.

Students actively participated in the discussion, making the session highly interactive and impactful.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Aneesha Saji, Student Secretary of the Medical Club. The meeting came to an end at 3:45 PM.
