Community Walkathon, and Healthy Kerala Campaign 2026

The Medical Club of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla in association with Department of Ayush, Govt. of Kerala, National Ayush Mission and Tiruvalla LAC was conducted a Community Walkathon, a fitness rally, on February 6, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 AM in the Mar Thoma College Ground. About 50 members were participated the event. Following this event, Healthy Kerala Campaign 2026 were inaugurated in the Auditorium. The chief guest for the occasion was Sri. Mathew T. Thomas (Honorable M L A). The program was presided by Smt. Lekha S (Muncipal Chairperson, Tiruvalla) and coordinated by Dr. Sunitha A. Philip (Convener, Medical Club). Keynote address by Dr. Krishnakumar (D.M.O. in-charge, Indian Ayurveda Department C.M.O, Kadampanad G.A.H). After the session Health Check-up and Yoga Dance was conducted. The meeting came to an end by 1.45 pm.

Thampy Kurian Endowment Fund- Excellence Award

Mr. Thampy Kurien a former student of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla and a resident of 43 Delaney Street, Stow, Massachusetts 01775 USA endowed a corpus amount Rs. 15,000,00 as gratitude to his alma mater. Endowment has been made with the sole aim of promoting meaningful academic pursuit among students thereby enhancing name and fame of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla among other premier institutions in the country and abroad. Endowment is meant for one student in second or third year of four year UG (Honours) programme or second year of UG degree programme and one student in the second year of any PG programme. The total number of awardees in a year shall be limited to two.
