EMERGIO ALPHA: Women and Contemporary Narratives

Post Graduate Forum, Department of English, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, hosted a One Day National Seminar, EMERGIO ALPHA, on September 26, 2024. The event aimed to spark insightful discussions and explore fresh perspectives on women’s narratives in contemporary literature. Renowned literature expert Ms. A G Olenna, Director of Kerala Saksharatha Mission, delivered the keynote address, sharing 30 years of expertise and inspiring lively discussions.

Dr. Susan Thomas, Head of the Department, welcomed participants, while Dr. Neema Susan Mathews, Post Graduate Forum President, felicitated the gathering. Mr. Arin S, Convener, proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The seminar featured 120 paper presentations across 12 sessions, chaired by expert panels from various institutions. Over 100 participants from diverse educational backgrounds attended, including teachers, research scholars, and students.

Attendees praised the seminar’s relevance and applicability, fostering a deeper understanding of women’s narratives in contemporary literature. EMERGIO ALPHA provided a vibrant platform for experts and participants to engage, explore, and exchange ideas.
