English Literary Association (ELA) Inauguration

The English Literary Association (ELA) for the academic year 2024-25 was officially inaugurated on 13th August 2024. The ceremony commenced with a prayer by the Department Choir, followed by a warm welcome speech by the Head of the Department, Dr. Susan Thomas.

The Presidential address was delivered by Prof. Jijo John Varghese, ELA President. The Principal, Dr. Mathew Varkey T.K., shared official remarks, highlighting the significance of the ELA in fostering literary excellence.

A melodious song performance by Ms. Anna Elizabeth Raju of II BA added a cultural touch to the event.

The Chief Guest, renowned poet and writer Ms. Aleena Akashamittayi, formally inaugurated the ELA’s activities for the academic year 2024-25. She engaged in an interactive session with the students, sharing her insights and experiences.

Prof. Susmitha Ann Varghese, Former President of the ELA, offered felicitations, acknowledging the efforts of the ELA team.

The ceremony concluded by 12:30p.m with Ms. Karishma Elizabeth Geevarghese, Secretary of the ELA, proposing the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, members, and participants.
