Eth Mood, Onam Mood

The English Literary Association of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, celebrated Onam on 29th August 2025 with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration beautifully reflected the rich cultural legacy and traditions of Kerala through its vibrant decorations, cultural performances, and festive spirit.

The event commenced with a melodious song by Deon Varghese Reni and Rohan Abraham Moncey, both students of III BA English, which set a joyful tone for the occasion. A series of fun-filled traditional games followed, creating an atmosphere of excitement and togetherness among students and teachers.

Adding colour and rhythm to the day, the female students of III BA English performed a graceful traditional dance, which was warmly appreciated by everyone. The celebration reached its peak with an energetic and mesmerizing dance performance by the teachers of the department, which further elevated the festive spirit.

To reflect on the significance of Onam, Dr. Renjith Joseph and Prof. Ann Mary Raju shared their experiences and thoughts, highlighting the values of unity, prosperity, and cultural harmony that Onam represents.

The event concluded with the distribution of Onam special snacks, marking a sweet end to a memorable day.

Overall, the Onam celebration organized by the Department of English was a day filled with joy, laughter, and unity, beautifully echoing the spirit and traditions of Kerala.
