Fibonacci Day Celebration 2025

The Department of Mathematics, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, celebrated Fibonacci Day on 24 November 2025 to highlight the significance of the Fibonacci sequence and the contributions of Leonardo of Pisa. The programme included Fibonacci-themed quizzes and brief discussions on the applications of the sequence in mathematics and nature. Students actively participated and showed great enthusiasm. The event successfully promoted interest in mathematics in an engaging and informative manner.

Thampy Kurian Endowment Fund- Excellence Award

Mr. Thampy Kurien a former student of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla and a resident of 43 Delaney Street, Stow, Massachusetts 01775 USA endowed a corpus amount Rs. 15,000,00 as gratitude to his alma mater. Endowment has been made with the sole aim of promoting meaningful academic pursuit among students thereby enhancing name and fame of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla among other premier institutions in the country and abroad. Endowment is meant for one student in second or third year of four year UG (Honours) programme or second year of UG degree programme and one student in the second year of any PG programme. The total number of awardees in a year shall be limited to two.
