Free Eye Checkup Camp

The NSS units (25(A), 25(B), and 510) of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, in association with Kallada Eye Hospital, Tiruvalla, organized a Free Eye Checkup Camp on 6th August 2025 at the College Media Center.

The programme began with the Presidential Address by Dr. Shaji Varghese, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry. In his address, he appreciated the NSS team for initiating such a valuable health-related event and stressed the importance of preventive eye care.

The function was inaugurated by Mr. Arun Cheriyan Abu, Librarian, Mar Thoma College. He highlighted the relevance of regular eye checkups and encouraged everyone to make use of the services provided.

All students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college actively participated and utilized the opportunity to undergo eye screening.

The camp was well-coordinated by NSS Programme Officers Dr. P.J. Varghese, Dr. Sreelatha P.V., and Dr. Anitha George Varghese, along with the committed efforts of NSS volunteers
