
From Lab to Life
Dr. Robin Mathew, Associate Director and Medical Affairs Leader at Kenvue Inc. (formerly Johnson & Johnson Healthcare), delivered an engaging invited lecture titled “From Lab to Life: Connecting Classroom Science to the Wonders of the Real World.” This event was part of the Eminent Guest Lecture Series organized by the Post Graduate Department of Biosciences.The Eminent Guest Lecture Series (EGS) is a bimonthly flagship initiative aimed at bringing distinguished figures who have made significant contributions in industry, academia, and research to our college. In the past, this series has featured a variety of invited lectures from prominent personalities, fostering a rich exchange of knowledge and ideas. In his lecture, Dr. Robin Mathew skilfully articulated the evolution of scientific knowledge, highlighting its progression from initial discoveries in the laboratory to its profound and transformative effects on society. He emphasized the critical role of applied science in addressing global challenges and highlighted the contributions of Nobel laureates as compelling examples of this transformative process. The lecture was structured around the central theme of translating theoretical understanding into practical solutions, showcasing the dynamic interplay between research and applications.
