Gandhi Jayanti Online Quiz Competition 2025

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 25(A), 25(B) & 510 of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla organized an Online Quiz Competition on 2nd October 2025 as part of the Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations. The topic of the quiz was “Life and Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.”

The competition aimed to enlighten students about the values, ideals, and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and to encourage them to imbibe his principles in daily life. Students from various departments enthusiastically participated in the event.

The winners of the competition are as follows:
First Prize: Jevin Varghese (I DC English)
Second Prize: Devika V. S. (II DC Botany)
Third Prize: Anju Mary Thomas (II DC Economics)

Thampy Kurian Endowment Fund- Excellence Award

Mr. Thampy Kurien a former student of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla and a resident of 43 Delaney Street, Stow, Massachusetts 01775 USA endowed a corpus amount Rs. 15,000,00 as gratitude to his alma mater. Endowment has been made with the sole aim of promoting meaningful academic pursuit among students thereby enhancing name and fame of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla among other premier institutions in the country and abroad. Endowment is meant for one student in second or third year of four year UG (Honours) programme or second year of UG degree programme and one student in the second year of any PG programme. The total number of awardees in a year shall be limited to two.
