Health Awareness Class and Eye Checkup

The medical Club of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla in association with Govt.Ayurveda Hospital, Tiruvalla has organized ‘HEALTH AWARENESS CLASS AND EYE CHECKUP’ on 26-09-2025 at 10.30 am in the Mini Conference Hall of Mar Thoma College. Dr. Mathew Varkey T K., Principal, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla presided the meeting. The meeting started with a prayer song. Dr. Sunitha A Philip, convener of the medical club welcomed the gathering. Dr. Akhila A.K, Specialist Medical Officer Ayurveda- Gynaecologist, Govt. Ayurveda Hospital Tiruvalla conducted a class on ‘Women’s Health’. In the session, Resource person talked about during menstruation, Ayurveda emphasizes practices to support the body’s natural purification process. Ayurveda emphasizes nourishing the body’s tissues, especially the reproductive tissues, to enhance fertility and support overall reproductive function. Ayurveda recommends cleansing therapies and a specific diet to prepare the body and mind for a healthy pregnancy. Physical exercise is vital to good health. In this session, Doctor conducted a ‘YOGA’ training for students mental and physical health.
This is followed by an ‘EYE CHECKUP’ conducted by Dr. Divya V Bhanu, Specialist Medical Officer Ayurveda- Eye ENT, Govt. Ayurveda Hospital Tiruvalla. Students and Faculty members were actively participated in the session. After the session, Dr. Susan Thomas (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology) proposed the vote of thanks and the meeting came to an end by 1.45 pm.
