Human Library Project- Chapter II

The Department of Chemistry, in association with the IQAC and the College Library, organized the second session of the Human Library Project (HLP) on 30th January 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Golden Jubilee Seminar Hall. Following the successful inauguration of this initiative, Chapter II continued the mission of sharing personal stories and lived experiences as “living books” to enhance empathy, understanding, and connection within the college community.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by the welcome address delivered by Dr. Ajesh K. Zachariah, Head of the Department of Chemistry. He welcomed the gathering and explained the importance of the Human Library in providing a platform for transformative stories that go beyond traditional academic learning. Dr. Josmin P. Jose, Coordinator of HLP, then chaired the session and introduced the guest speaker for Chapter II, highlighting the unique theme of the day’s narrative.
The main session featured Dr. Reshmy Rajasekharan—a distinguished teacher, researcher, and entrepreneur—who presented her story titled, “My Story: The Multi-Hyphenate Woman and Gender Politics.” Her narrative offered a profound exploration of the challenges and triumphs of balancing multiple professional identities while navigating the complex landscape of gender dynamics in modern society. This was followed by an engaging interaction involving a panel of faculty members, non-teaching staffs and students.
