Inauguration of History Association

The History Association, a forum of the students and faculty members of the Department, was inaugurated on the 28th of June 2019 by Dr. P S Pratheep (Chairman, PG Board of Studies in History (MG University) and Associate Professor & Head, PG Department of History, Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta). The meeting began by 2.00 PM. The meeting was graced with the presence of Dr. Icy K John, Principal, Mar Thoma College.
Dr. Pratheep during his inaugural address interacted with the students and conveyed to them the necessity to let go their shyness and assert themselves through excellence in academics. The speech was an eyeopener as students were informed of the career opportunities a graduate of history has and also due to the immense and invaluable motivation that sir was able to channelize to the students.
