Inauguration of the Botany Association 2026 – 27

The PG & Research Department of Botany, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, is organizing the Inauguration of the Botany Association 2026–27 followed by an Invited Talk on 30 July 2026 at 10:00 AM in the College Auditorium. The inaugural programme aims to formally launch the activities of the Botany Association for the academic year and inspire students towards academic excellence and holistic development. The invited talk will be delivered by Dr. Priya Devadath, Chief Physician, Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, Mannar, on the topic “ജീവിതശൈലിരോഗങ്ങൾ… അറിയാം തടയാം…” The programme seeks to create awareness about healthy lifestyle practices, disease prevention, and the importance of integrating scientific knowledge with traditional healthcare approaches, while encouraging active student participation and interaction.

Thampy Kurian Endowment Fund- Excellence Award

Mr. Thampy Kurien a former student of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla and a resident of 43 Delaney Street, Stow, Massachusetts 01775 USA endowed a corpus amount Rs. 15,000,00 as gratitude to his alma mater. Endowment has been made with the sole aim of promoting meaningful academic pursuit among students thereby enhancing name and fame of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla among other premier institutions in the country and abroad. Endowment is meant for one student in second or third year of four year UG (Honours) programme or second year of UG degree programme and one student in the second year of any PG programme. The total number of awardees in a year shall be limited to two.
