The Department of English organized an intercollegiate fest ‘MUSES 2022: Battle of
Wizards” on 4 & 5 March 2022. It was based on the literary series ‘Harry Potter; by J. K.
Rowling. Shri Mohan Aiyroor, Cine Artist released the Logo of the fest on 20 January 2022.
MUSES 2022 was inaugurate on 03 March 2022 by poet and lyricist Sri. Valayar Sarath
Chandra Varma. The special guest on the occasion was cine artist Sri. Guinness Pakru. The President
of the English Literary Association Prof. Rahul N welcomed the gathering. Dr Varughese Mathew,
Principal, delivered the Presidential Address. Felicitations were offered by the Head of the
Department Dr Ashley Philip and Secretary of ELa, Sri. Alex Johnson Puthethu. Sri. Vishni V. S.,
Coordinator of the fest thanked the audience.
Competitions in various categories like Short Story Writing, Fashion Show, Treasure hunt,
Stand-up Comedy, Spot Dance, Pencil Drawing, Object Poetry, Photography, Short Film, Soliloquy,
Murder Mystery, Quiz, BGMI, PES and Troll were held over two days. A total of 40 colleges and 284
persons participated in the fest. The Intercollegiate fest concluded on a very successful note.
