National Conference on Advances in Nanomaterials & Nanotechnology

Department of Physics, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, as a part its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations,  organized the National Conference on ‘Advances in Nanomaterials & Nanotechnology’ on 6th and 7th August 2019 at the Golden Jubilee Seminar Hall.

Prof. P. J. Kurien, Former Deputy Speaker, Rajya Sabha, inaugurated the conference.

Prof. Pulickel M. Ajayan (Rice University, USA), Prof. M. R. Anantharaman, ( CUSAT), Dr. M. M. Shaijumon (IISER Thiruvananthapuram) and Dr. Swapna S. Nair (Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod)  shared their expertise in the field.

Over 200 members of faculty, research scholars and PG students attended the conference. About 40 research papers were presented. Best Presentation Awards were given to Riju K. Thomas (SPAP, MGU, Kottayam – Oral), Gopika G. Nair (CMS College, Kottayam – Oral), Lekshmi Vijayan (STAS, MGU, Kottayam – Poster) and Aruna Joseph (St. Teresa’s College, Eranakulam – Poster)
