National Science Day 2026

The Physics Association of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, organized a Science Quiz Competition as part of the National Science Day 2026 celebrations. The event aimed to foster scientific temper, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for learning among students.
The program was conducted on 25th February 2026 at 1:30 PM in the UG Physics Laboratory. Students from both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs actively participated in the event. The quiz consisted of multiple rounds covering various domains of science. Dr. Arun Vinod served in the capacity of Quiz Master for the event.

Thampy Kurian Endowment Fund- Excellence Award

Mr. Thampy Kurien a former student of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla and a resident of 43 Delaney Street, Stow, Massachusetts 01775 USA endowed a corpus amount Rs. 15,000,00 as gratitude to his alma mater. Endowment has been made with the sole aim of promoting meaningful academic pursuit among students thereby enhancing name and fame of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla among other premier institutions in the country and abroad. Endowment is meant for one student in second or third year of four year UG (Honours) programme or second year of UG degree programme and one student in the second year of any PG programme. The total number of awardees in a year shall be limited to two.
