National Service Scheme (NSS)

A unit of National Service Scheme has been functioning in the College since 1971. It is a voluntary organization designed to create community consciousness in the students and to channelise their energy and enthusiasm into constructive paths. Presently the College has two units of National Service Scheme with a membership of about 300 students. The students participate in a series of community development projects including, 10 day work camp arranged every year during Christmas holidays. The NSS volunteers carry out regular campus beautification programmes, arrange blood donation, and participate in community development schemes in the locality. A Bonus of 15 marks for the Degree Course and 5 marks for PG Course shall be awarded to NSS Candidate at the time of admission.
