animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_offset=””]The Government of Kerala has directed all educational institutions and establishments to conduct diverse and relevant programmes as part of the State wise campaign against Drug abuse. In this context, the College has formed a committee as per the directions of the Government. The Anti Drug cell / NSS / NCC units will jointly execute the Government directions with the support of the College community.
The following programmes are being organized as part of this great awareness campaign.
1) State level inauguration of the programme on 6th October 2022.
2) A public meeting at 09.00 a.m on Wednesday 6th October 2022 in the College Auditorium.
3) Awareness class for Parents and Teachers at 11.30 a.m on 6th October 2022 in the College Auditorium.
4) A Debate on ‘Drug Abuse’ will be conducted in all classes during 1.30 p.m to 2.30 p.m on 7th October 2022 and the best debater will be selected.
5) A short film competition will be announced on 2nd October 2022 on *Illicit Drugs – A Menace* . The last date for submission of the completed film will be 25th October 2022. A team of maximum 5 can register their name for the competition with the Convever. Guidelines will be given.
6) The Short films in competition will be judged on 26th October 2022. Cash prizes of Rs. 6000/- and Rs. 3000/ – will be awarded for the first and second best short films.
8)Awareness campaign/programmes will be organized in the railway Station, KSRTC stand, private bus stand, among labourers from other states, near by shops, in our municipal ward 8, hostels etc by NSS, NCC, Anti Drug cell and department associations.
9)A public rally will be arranged on Kerala Piravi Day, 1st November 2022 as part of the campaign against Drug use. A public function will also be arranged in the open air stage of the College and pledge will be taken by the College community. Also, various prizes will be distributed.
