ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR FIRST YEAR NSS VOLUNTEERS

Orientation Programme for First-Year NSS Volunteers

The National Service Scheme (NSS), Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, is organizing a two day Orientation Programme for First-Year NSS Volunteers on 14th and 15th August 2026 at the College Seminar Hall. The two-day programme is designed to introduce newly enrolled volunteers to the vision, values, objectives and activities of NSS while inspiring them to develop leadership qualities, social responsibility and a spirit of service.

The programme features a series of interactive sessions led by experienced social activists, life coaches, NSS professionals and entrepreneurs. Dr. Jobin S Kottaram, Mr. Joseph Chacko and Mr. Jobin George, will interact with the volunteers and share their experience and insights.

Thampy Kurian Endowment Fund- Excellence Award

Mr. Thampy Kurien a former student of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla and a resident of 43 Delaney Street, Stow, Massachusetts 01775 USA endowed a corpus amount Rs. 15,000,00 as gratitude to his alma mater. Endowment has been made with the sole aim of promoting meaningful academic pursuit among students thereby enhancing name and fame of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla among other premier institutions in the country and abroad. Endowment is meant for one student in second or third year of four year UG (Honours) programme or second year of UG degree programme and one student in the second year of any PG programme. The total number of awardees in a year shall be limited to two.
