Orientation Programme for the First Year NSS Volunteers -1

The First Orientation Programme for the First Year NSS Volunteers of Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, was held on 16 August 2025 at the College Auditorium.

The programme began with the welcome speech by NSS Programme Officer Dr. P. J. Varghese. The presidential address was delivered by NSS Programme Officer Dr. Sreelatha P. V.. The event was officially inaugurated by the College Principal, Dr. Mathew Varkey T. K.. NSS Volunteer Nikhil proposed the vote of thanks for the inaugural session.

The second session was handled by Dr. Ajish K. R., Assistant Professor, CMS College Kottayam, and NSS District Coordinator (M.G. University). He conducted the orientation class and explained the objectives, motto, and importance of NSS, inspiring the new volunteers. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by NSS Programme Officer Dr. Anitha George Varghese.

In the afternoon session, a reminder and mentoring session was led by Shihab M. Jamal, Assistant Professor, Christu Jyothi College, Changanacherry.

The orientation programme provided meaningful insights into the role of NSS and motivated the first-year volunteers to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to service and community development.
