Research Facilities

The college has state-of-the-art research labs and facilities attached to various centers.

Comparative Literature Research and Study Centre (CLRSC)

A  Comparative Literature Study Centre – the second one of its kind in Kerala – was started in the Department in 1996 with the intention of promoting research in related fields. Malayalam and Hindi departments also extended their support in establishing the Centre. Dr. Cyriac Thomas, who was Pro-Vice Chancellor of Kerala University at the time inaugurated the Centre. Its office was formally inaugurated at a later stage by Dr. Jancy James, then Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University.

The Comparative Literature Research Study Centre attached with Department of English promotes research in comparative literature.

Many books were published under the CLRSC series, most of them being theses by professors from our college. Through the years, CLRSC has organized workshops and hosted lectures by eminent scholars. In 2021, CLRSC organized virtual talks on ‘Understanding Energy Humanities’ by Professor Stephanie LeMenager, Barbara and Carlisle Moore Distinguished Professor in English and American Literature and Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of Oregon, US, and Dr Swaralipi Nandi, Assistant Professor of English at Loyola College, Secunderabad.
