Seminar on Local History of Tiruvalla

A seminar on the local history of Tiruvalla was held under the auspices of the Department of History on 4 February 2026.The program was envisaged as a part of the promotion of Indian Knowledge System. Mr. Chris Thomas Alumnus of the department and the former co ordinating editor of Malayala Manorama Pathanamthitta edition inaugurated the seminar. Mr. Pallikonam Rajeev (Secretary, Kerala Center for Local History and Heritage Studies), Dr. Jithin Sankar (Assistant Professor, NSS Hindu College, Chenganacharry) were the main resource persons. 45 students and faculty members have participated in the seminar. The seminar was instrumental in generating new areas of research in the local history of Tiruvalla.
