Zoology Association Inauguration

The activities of Post Graduate and Research Department of Zoology in Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, was inaugurated on 21-08-2024 at 9.30 am in the Seminar Hall. The meeting started with a prayer song by Ms. Aseena M, II B.Sc. Zoology student. Dr. Sunitha A. Philip, Association President welcomed the gathering. Dr. Mathew Varkey T. K., Principal of Mar Thoma College presided the programme. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Shiny V. Thomas (Teacher / Psychologist / Journalist / Educationalist and Alumni, B.Sc. Zoology Batch 1992-95) Principal, Pazhassiraja Senior Secondary School, Trissur. She delivered a talk on “Emotional Intelligence & Positive Mind-set”. She discussed about a clear sense of direction on various aspects of life success. To encourage the minds and hearts of people in such a way that motivates them to think more clearly, opportunities, and move forward with action.This was followed by a felicitation session by Mr. Saji John (Sub Inspector of Police, State Special Branch, Security Wing, Thiruvananthapuram). He was our alumni of B.Sc. Zoology Batch 1992-95. Students from the department and the faculty members attended the programme and interacted with the speaker.Prof. Johnson M. Samuel, Retired Professor, Department of Zoology, Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla attended the program. Dr. Sunitha A. Philip, Association President rendered the vote of thanks. The Programme came to an end by 12.45 p.m.
Association inauguration programme followed by Fresher’s day celebrations were conducted at 2.p.m in the Seminar Hall. First Year B.Sc. Zoology students are welcomed by IInd and III rd Year B.Sc. Students. This was followed by self-introduction of First year UG students. Some funny tasks and activities that can be included in a Fresher’s Day celebration. This programme was a joyful moments of togetherness and make feel good about being a part of our college. The programme came to an end by 3.30 pm.
