Anti- Drug Campaign Drawing Competition

On 15th January 2026, the Postgraduate and Research Department of English at Mar Thoma College, Tiruvalla, in association with the Kerala State Institute of Children’s Literature and the Department of Cultural Affairs of Kerala, successfully hosted a district-level drawing competition. Organized in collaboration with ASICLA and centred on the theme of an Anti-Drug Campaign, the event drew participation from school students throughout the Pathanamthitta district. The program, held at the College Auditorium starting at 09:30 AM, was inaugurated by Chief Guest Adv Mathew T Thomas MLA. Under the leadership of Principal Dr Mathew Varkey T K, Head of the Department Dr Susan Thomas, and Convenor Ms Ann Mary Raju, the competition served as a vibrant platform for young artists to express social awareness through creativity. By integrating the message of “Read and Grow” (വായിച്ചു വളരുക), the event effectively highlighted the importance of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle for the younger generation.
