Project  Coordinator: COMMUNITY EXTENSION WORK OF  MAR THOMA COLLEGE,TIRUVALLA.

“Restoration of KuttapuzhaThodu and associated wetlands and the improvement of livelihood of people residing at banks of the canal”

The study included water quality parameter and microbial analysis of water from the canal along with the socio- economic survey among the colony residents.

The report and action plan was submitted to ‘Haritha Kerala Mission -2016’ the State Government’s Plan for ThiruvallaMuncipality

• River restoration programmes:
• Karmasamithi member of Meenachil River restoration programme ‘ MeenachilarPunarjani’ of Errattupetta municipality.
• Organised training classes for locals and school students on the theme, Meenachil ‘My River, My Life”.
• Delivered Water Conservation Talks in Pala Saphalam plus
• Public awareness programme, “SavePamba , Save Vembandu” in association with CWRDM and Pamba River Basin authority on 16th Jan 2018.
